The be-all and end-all of the spinning dancer meme is here. I bet all of you will be able to "switch" between clockwise and counterclockwise, if not at will then at least easier than before, after seeing this.
Thethree eighteen remaining people here who have no idea what I'm talking about should go here first.

I think my experience proves the left-brain-right-brain explanation hooey, by the way. I'm the most left-brained person in the world.

The trick (which only works for me sometimes) is to put my hand over the original so I can only see the part on the very right side where the arm sometimes swings by. It's important that I not be able to see any more of her. Then, if and when I can convince myself that the arm is going counterclockwise, I take my hand away. If it works, it works until I blink.

Clockwise is still my dominant direction, although I can switch kinda at will. I'm not sure how, but it involves relaxing my eyes and letting it become 2D, I think. Your covering-most-of-it trick didn't work for me.
I still insist I'm only a partial left brainer at best.

I also wonder if there's anything to the fact that I first saw her after spending the entire weekend a). playing around with money and odds and patterns in Vegas, while b). reading (voraciously and entirely) books on quantum physics.
