Fully 7.3% of the people on my Friends list have gotten engaged within the past year. Mazel tov to the latest two!

And this doesn't even count the one of you who was blathering about rings awhile ago without actually buying one, or the other 18 of you who wouldn't surprise me at all if you got engaged tomorrow. Or those of you who are already married.

I'd love to wear my mom's, but a) there's no possible way I'd ever fit into it because she's skinny and I'm fat and also even if I was skinny I have a far bigger rack than she does, and b) I've wanted a Renaissance wedding since I was a very, very small child.
