Fully 7.3% of the people on my Friends list have gotten engaged within the past year. Mazel tov to the latest two!
And this doesn't even count the one of you who was blathering about rings awhile ago without actually buying one, or the other 18 of you who wouldn't surprise me at all if you got engaged tomorrow. Or those of you who are already married.

like for example in a laundromat in israel there's a chair that people believe that if you are having problems getting pregnant and sit in it, it'll help you get pregnant. the chair would be called a segulah for getting pregnant. so a segulah is an inanimate object/practice that has magical powers. so perhaps your friends list is that!
though i'm not serious. I don't believe in segulot
