My mom just went away on a 7-night business trip. I have more work this week at my part-time job than usual, and some prospects on the full-time job front, but I'm still largely unemployed. I have a mild-to-moderate foot injury which seems to be improving, but which still makes too much wandering around the city ill-advised, even in this glorious weather. I've given up on reading the book I'm reading, and I'm not all that far from finishing the video game I'm playing.
Any ideas that can keep me from going totally bored out of my skull between now and next weekend?

I pretty much play video games and read stuff, so you've destroyed any of the things to do. You could play literati at yahoo games.

Any chance of you stopping by south Florida for a bit on the weekend of 3/26? I just booked a flight...

stuff to do
go to www.funkyside.com and listen to realaudio clips of cool ithaca bands
go to ithaca and listen to cool ithaca bands
get an accordian (i know you've been meaning to)
teach yourself esperanto
check out the ithaca health fund, even if just for kicks
fret over the current political situation
learn to knit
then learn to purl
then make a fishermans sweater
you can wear it as you limp around philly
make a mix
send it to all your friends,
or just post the playlist
start a webtoon
it doesn't have to be good
that way when people read it in a year they can go to the archives and see how far you've come
I agree with everything you've said and would add the following:
-Start FF5, and try to max out every class at least once. Then celebrate your 40th birthday
-look for more jobs (of course)
-simulate a hysterical pregnancy
-update your webpage
