My secret hope is that Elena Kagan is confirmed to the Supreme Court and then immediately comes out of the closet as gay.

By the way, if you type "Elena Kagan" (no quotes) into Google and don't press enter, the first 5 suggestions for searches are "Elena Kagan husband", "Elena Kagan married", "Elena Kagan bio", "Elena Kagan solicitor general", and "Elena Kagan personal life". One of these things is not like the others...

(And for the record, she does not seem to be married, unsubstantiated rumors say she has a female partner, and a white house official denied that she's a lesbian, according to the Washington Post.)

Good for you for rooting for the cause, and all, but, I kinda have a problem with the fact that it matters at all. I'm really disappointed with our society that "husband", "married", and "personal life" to all show up above "supreme court", regardless of gender or sexual orientation. Why does it matter?
