In November, when baseball's over and shows start going into reruns (or I start getting sick of my procedurals) and I need something else to do after work...
The office is great, but it gets really repetitive and you kind of know what to expect.
30 Rock is fun but to be honest I don't know any more than the first season. I'm working on that.
Always Sunny has a particular brand of funny that I get along with very well. It's probably not the best show on TV, but it really does something DIFFERENT. It's not boring. It's gross and wrong and bad in all the best ways. I voted for Always Sunny because I think it's the most unique and therefore the most worthy.
That is, if you've already seen all of Arrested Development.
by the way, Always Sunny is a slow start. Watch a bunch of episodes before you make a final decision, it sometimes takes a while to get the characters.
So here's the thing about Arrested Development: I started with the last season. The first episode I saw was the best half hour I ever spent in front of a screen, and I loved the rest of the season too. But now that it's over and I own all of it, the first season is a bit of a letdown: it's just building up to all the jokes that they were already used to and riffing off of by the time I jumped on board. I need to step away from it for a few more years, and then come back to it having forgotten most of it. Hopefully it'll be funnier that way.
