Fest!

The Philly Folk Fest website just posted their first batch of performers for this summer's Fest!

There's Gandalf Murphy and the Slambovian Circus of Dreams, who I love but who I already knew were coming. There's the Avett Brothers, who I vaguely remember liking from 2005 but don't remember why. There's The Duhks, who I've heard are awesome. But then...

Arrogant Worms!!!! And Jackson Browne?!?!?!?!

Man, I'm so pumped. (Even if I can't figure out what the hell Jackson Browne is doing at a folk festival.) I can't wait for August!

I'm pretty happy with the Duhks album that I've got. Really solid folk rock. Pity that I'm missing both Clearwater and Fest this year.

Staying in Boston, keeping pika from degenerating into anarchy or heat death, taking Hindi. Spending a bunch of time blacksmithing if any of my leads come through. Catching up with people who I never see even though they live 5 blocks from me. And attending several weddings, betrothals, and such, one of which conflicts with Clearwater. Probably in Bala Cynwyd for a couple of weeks in early June.
