(no subject)

The Phillies just traded Robinson Tejeda and Jake Blalock to the Rangers for David Dellucci.

In other words, they traded a 24-year-old power pitcher who had a 3.57 major league ERA last season as a rookie, and a low-level hitting prospect who's the younger brother of a two-time all-star, for a 32-year-old 5th outfielder who hit .251 last year.

It's not even opening day, and I'm already hating the Phillies. They better know something I don't...

Um... have you been paying attention for the last 50 years? Clearly they don't.

Well, look on the bright side. You could be a Pirates fan. They haven't had a winning season since they last had Barry Bonds, Sid Bream, Bobby Bonilla, and Andy Van Slyke all on the same team (1992). Yes, this will almost certainly be their 14th CONSECUTIVE losing season.

Haha. Suckers.

You're totally right. Bream was on the Braves that year. I just always associate him with Pirate loser-ness because he was the one who scored the winner in game 7 of that NLCS.
