The Phillies just traded Robinson Tejeda and Jake Blalock to the Rangers for David Dellucci.
In other words, they traded a 24-year-old power pitcher who had a 3.57 major league ERA last season as a rookie, and a low-level hitting prospect who's the younger brother of a two-time all-star, for a 32-year-old 5th outfielder who hit .251 last year.
It's not even opening day, and I'm already hating the Phillies. They better know something I don't...

Um... have you been paying attention for the last 50 years? Clearly they don't.

You could make quite the incredible rotation out of players that the Phillies have traded over the past 10 years and for whom they've gotten nothing worthwhile in exchange.

Haha. Suckers.

Andy Van Slyke was on the Phillies briefly after that. I'm willing to blame all of the post-1993 crap on him and his Pittsburgh karma. Thanks for the scapegoat!
