Yeah, so I got sucked in. I read the last half or so of Goblet of Fire, and the first 150ish pages of Order of the Phoenix today. I'm still going to try to wait on the new one until it comes out in paperback, but I might give up and ask one of you if I can borrow your copy at some point. I mean, you're all probably done already anyway.

Nope, on page 460. I don't read very fast anymore.

632 total.

I've been reading since 2 with breaks only to rest my poor eyes and make lunch and go to the bathroom and feed Oliver.

652 pages :) so yeah, her editor had a sharper machete this time around.

and yeah, i read kindareallybloody fast. i was done around 2:45 last night and IMMEDIATELY hit irc going "okay, brits, aussies, where the hell are you, you got the book almost eight hours, one of you must be done and ready to discuss!"

I started after 8 pm last night and finished about half an hour ago, with about an hour or so taken away for dinner. You can borrow it, if I get a mailing address ;-)

By my count i did HBP in less then 8 hours (compared to about 10 it took me to reread OoTP last weekend), and that's with re-reading chapter two about four times.

I think it's quite dreadful compared to books four and five, but penultimate chapters often suffer from a lull due to the need to be overly expository.

I look forward to when more people have finished it so that I can whine about it more explicitly.

Oh, and we each have a copy, so once we get done discussing it you could borrow mine.

It's good. I read it yesterday and I'll send it along with Charley to the Institute.
