This election got me to like Eminem. That's how fucked up it is.

I don't have much to say. My friends summed up my thoughts well. I just have one thing to add: I know some very intelligent people, even from backgrounds similar to mine, who are happy with how this election turned out. I hope they know something I don't. They want what's best for this country, too, and I hope they and Bush are right about how to go about it.

Actually, one more thing: As a country, we've been through worse. 1968. Japanese internment camps. Prohibition and all it wrought. I suspect it will be painful, but this too shall pass.

Actually, one more thing: It's not like I could just go and run off to Canada, anyway.

Bush has been reelected for less than 24 hours now, and he's already signed off to allow an oil pipeline through the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.

No, no, I'm trying to be complacent and see any potential good in this. I'm not looking for more to hate right now. Besides, it's too easy.

it's too easy to get mad and hate and be angry and a whole list of other things.

it's much more difficult to simply accept things and move on and work within the system
