Update: 4 engagements in the past six weeks, all of whom are either people I see multiple times per month or are in a particularly close set of friends from high school. With a 5th possibly coming very soon.

And one death. (Yesterday, a friend's sister who I met a couple times).

This on top of the 4-6 weddings in my circle in the past two weeks (depending on how you define my circle), and one baby.

Even with the preponderance of the news being happy, it's still all overwhelming. Ready for the omer to be over soon, thanks.

Your life is like the opposite of mine. All of my friends are just cohabitating rather than actually getting married (or were already married when I met them), so I've only been invited to two weddings of friends, well, ever.

Sometimes I want to trade. (Though I do rather like going to weddings. Really, I just don't want to grow up quite so fast.)

The obvious solution is to get engaged yourself, and then when people invite you to all of their wedding related things you can tell them you can't make it because you're too busy planning your own wedding.
