A week ago right now, I was getting an injection (or whatever it's called when they push something into your IV) of a drug that relaxes you and makes you amnesiac. After that (apparently) I got an injection of a drug that puts you to sleep. I fell asleep. I woke up about 45 minutes later, as soon as they wanted me to. And now, a week after that, I feel almost back to normal, except without the 4 teeth that were all either causing me pain or sure to do so one day.

Really, we live in miraculous times. The idea that the doctor could do all that to me, especially the part about me forgetting and losing control, is still really scary to me. But man, how amazing too.

You're lucky. When I had that done, I discovered that I suffer from disinhibition under sedation. Though I remember none of it, my oral surgeon said I nailed his assistant with a hard right but that his dental work was covered and not to worry.
