I should be asleep, but instead I'm staying up and listening to Live and Pearl Jam. It's like high school!

Oh, and speaking of high school, I have a very important announcement in about a month. Don't let me forget.

(EDIT: speaking of high school. This has nothing to do with anything that has nothing to do with high school. You date someone for a year and a half, and suddenly lots of people in your life think "announcement" necessarily means something in particular...)

Nope. Someone who had never even set foot in Philly by the time I graduated college. No, this announcement definitely relates to me at Akiba and has little or nothing to do with her.

For the record, it only gets worse. After another couple of years, they don't wait for the excuse of an announcement, they just ask when you're going to make it.

And my go-to answer is "A year after people stop asking." It has worked on my mother, at least.
