Aaaaaand my car fucking got broken into again. No windows broken, nothing worth more than $20 taken, but I'm pissed at the world again.

I'm looking into spending $150-$200 to install an alarm system on a car worth no more than 10 times that, a car that I might not have for more than 3 more months.

Or just a blinking LED in a visible spot that looks like an alarm? I had one of those on my old minivan, and I never got broken into. On the other hand, it was never worth breaking into since it was quite obviously a piece of junk with nothing in it.

As someone who just started parking her car on the street in south philly and would VERY much like to avoid that experience, how did you car get broken into? If that's too sensitive a questions, I can do some internet research...
