Just so I don't forget, the following makes for a tasty salad:


1 tub o' spinach (this one also had some arugula and something else)
2 smallish peppers of interesting colors
1 apple
1 pear (none of the brown ones were ripe, but the green one worked fine)
goat cheese (the container wasn't more specific as to what kind...)
walnuts
craisins
raspberry dressing

serves 10-12

Aw, thanks! I don't think I've made one just like that, but I'll start keeping pears and goat cheese in mind...they're yummy. I miss you (and B & N) too!

Something I learned this weekend: the sports section of my local newspaper now talks about the Nationals, not the Phillies. While I must admit this makes sense, I am nonetheless displeased. But, yay baseball!

Yeah. Welcome to following out-of-market teams. It sucks. Except! If you want to shell out for mlb.tv, you get all games EXCEPT local games! The one perk of your team being out-of-market. I'd totally cancel cable if they didn't have that restriction (which I guess is the point). And if you want to shell out for both mlb.tv and a Roku box, you can watch the Phillies on your TV just like you're here!

I'm so bummed. The Phillies' first game this year is in DC. I'm sure it won't sell out. I'd totally take off of work and go, except that it's chag. Boo.

I just looked at the schedule and discovered that the only times the Phillies will be in DC is Pesach, the last weekend in July, and Sukkot. This is inconvenient for work-Judaism-baseball-life balance. And my city is totally not a pilgrimage destination.

Also, I know we traded Lee...but...why?
