i voted for accordion, cause they're awesome, but i have to admit im sorry there arent any votes for "full set of harmonicas," cause i think that would be pretty awesome.

uilleann pipes are too weird to be useful, and while theremins are awesome, sleepsong is pretty much 100% right. also, a theremin that you made is even awesomer than one that you bought.

Irish bagpipes are so much more beautiful and fun than Scottish.

I love them both, but yeah, I prefer Irish. Plus it's arguably an even stranger instrument, if only because people here are somewhat used to the Scottish ones.

I cannot express the fun I'm having watching the uilleann pipes hold their own... and totally smash the harmonica.

Harmonicas all the way!

Harmonicas like it if you have skill, but don't care if you don't. They also stay in tune without you doing anything and play chords whenever you move your tongue around and express emotion easily.

Plus, if you only have ten or twenty bucks, you can buy just one. I recommend the low D for general fun in a key that others can sing to.
