RAM buying?

Haven't bought RAM in awhile. Where are the best places to go, and what brands are to be sought out or avoided?

Or if anyone has anything lying around, I need DDR 333 or 400 (PC2700 or PC3200), one or two 1GB chips. The prices I'm seeing are about $26/GB at the cheapest end; does that sound right?

I've always been happy with CDW - their prices are competitive to most of the ram4you.com places but they have a known name and reputation. They have a little ram-finder thing that helps you choose what you need, and then call you to follow up and make sure you got the right thing. (I've ordered from them for both my and my roommate's laptops).

I just buy whatever is cheapest at newegg that week, and I haven't had any problems.

I concur, newegg.com tends to have quick turnaround and good prices. Most recently, I bought 2gb of slower DDR2 RAM for my office P4 for $70 (about a year back).
