Man, this sucks. Five of my favorite bands are touring this season, and I can see at most one. Cold War Kids are on a bad night, Decemberists are either on a bad night or in another city on the same night as The Hold Steady, and Eileen Ivers and TMBG aren't coming close enough. And why does everyone have to be coming on a Friday this time around?

Anyway. These are the concerts I might go to in the next few months. Anyone interested in any of them?

re Ingrid: Will do, if I decide to go. I think this happened last time she was here too: I'm just on the fence as to whether I like her enough to see her live.

re Girlyman: All I know about them is that they rocked Folk Fest about 5 years ago, that I liked them a lot then, and that a lot of my friends still follow them. That's good enough for me, though it means I don't know any of their stuff. I can ask around for recommendations if you want, though; I certainly have plenty of friends who can offer some.

Ha! I thought of you when I saw that. The UU church is a really awesome venue, and it's like a block from where I live. The trouble is that most bands who play there are too small and indy for me to have heard of them. The only people I've seen before therre are Cold War Kids.

Really, though, do you hate the Felice Brothers' music, or just other things about them?

i hate them more than i hate their music, i'll give you that, but i did notice that when they played at philly they were extremely out of tune and kind of annoying, too. and i noticed that before i asked someone, "uh, who is this?" and found out it was them, so that wasn't even a tainted opinion...
