Hours living in my new apartment so far: 12. (Yay!)

Times I've bumped into that "awesome", "lovely" brick archway in my room so far: 1. (Well, crap.)

inquiring minds want to know: was this just a walking-into-a-wall thing? head-bumping thing? due to furniture moving? getting used to a new space? general clumsiness? do you still love it? (one time's not too bad...)

Bumped my knuckles against it while drying my hair after showering. (And not too badly...this time.) But I'm sure I'll bump my head against it eventually.

flyinbutrs suggested I start getting quotes on installing wall padding...

I'm sure I'll love it in general, but I'm in the "wow, look at all the annoying aspects" phase right now. Today's annoyance: water pressure! Strong enough...for 15 seconds. Then weak for 10. Repeat!

wet, soap, rinse, soap, rinse, jump out! (but i agree, that's a pain.)

Yeah, but I bet that whenever you turn on the hot water, out comes.... hot water.

Heh, I temporarily forgot that I should never try to impress you with apartment woes...

... At least you *have* water pressure! Taking showers here is a marathon. We're on well water, so we get about 40psi, if that. Add to that that it's alkaline, hard desert well water that is really bad at removing soap and shampoo and such, and -- yeah. I'm glad we have a big water heater, because it's impossible to take a shower in under 20 minutes. =)
