(no subject)

Back in middle school, every time I actually "buckled down" and got a school project or paper done well and on time, my mom would ask, "Now, doesn't that feel good?" I would look at her quizzically, think for a second, and then say, "No, it doesn't."

Now, every time I accept more responsibility for things, even things that I care about, whether I feel obligated to help out or I just feel like volunteering, I end up getting really overwhelmed. Which would be worth it if I had this feeling of satisfaction when I finished. But usually, I just don't. Remind me why I agree to do things, again?

Because you know what things you can do well and want to see them done with quality.
