Well, there goes my idealistic view of universities. I think this is mandatory reading for anyone who is at all affiliated with a college or university or soon will be. Just to be aware of what's possible.

The same thing would happen today, campuses today as being damaged by a cult of ethnicities which exaggerates differences, intensifies resentments and antagonisms... between races and nationalities. The end result is a climate of self-pity and self-ghettoization. It is the left-leaning of most college students that keep campuses this way.

Sorry, I'm a bit defensive when it comes to people talking smack about the left or liberals, but how is it the left-leaning that perpetuates the climate of self-pity? Most of the more left people I know are respectful of differences, and more importantly, eager to seek out the meaning behind labels and terms applied to themselves and others. A lack of willingness to do just that is what caused this incident. Is this characteristic of just the people I know, while other liberals are quicker to snap? Perhaps, but I suspect not.

Also, please, be careful how you word things. Differences shouldn't be exaggerated, I agree, but there's nothing wrong with them being carefully emphasized, discussed, and proudly displayed.

This is how things are. Nowhere besides from left-leaning people do you hear disadvantaged, diversity, etc. Be labeling people into different groups and emphacizing how we are all different (multi-cultural) you just divide people.

1. you should not be up at 830 in the morning. that is way to early for anybody. and if you are up, you should be lying in bed - thinking about going back to sleep again.
