A blog written in part by an old professor of mine is getting a bit more press lately, since it spawned a new book. I decided to go check it out, bored as I was.

At times, it's hilarious. Really. Go check out this analysis of the TSA's sentence: "We encourage everyone to pack gel-filled bras in their checked baggage." I think linguistic geekdom is still one of my favorite ways to geek out. And I think I should buy the book.

I've been reading it for ages; it is the SHIZNAT. Of course, I'm a linguistics major. But still. They discuss Savage Love, the President, the comics, and way too much semantics and graphs all at once! What's not to love?
