Bud Cort Is Now In Session

I have a Judiciary Training Session to attend Monday, to learn how to operate the polling machines that I'll be in charge of on primary election day. I'm looking forward to it! (Among other things, it means my election was real. This is the first official contact I've had since the certificate came.)

(Oh, yes, and they don't call it a Judiciary Training Session. That's my term for it.)

Hmm. I wonder if I can buy a roll of "kiss me, I voted!" stickers, or something similar. I think the constituents would like that.

This whole thing still cracks me up.

That's awesome. I worked as an election judge 2 election times ago in the Town of Berwyn Heights, PG County, Maryland.

It was a cool experience, even though I was forbidden from telling the voters how unreliable and fraud-vulnerable the electronic voting machines Maryland uses are.

Print up certificates that say "Good for one free coffee at Starbucks." Stick it to the man. There'll be rioting and unrest! "I WANT MY COFFEE etc."

You'll get re-elected if you do that!

I would first check with the city if you're even ALLOWED to give away anything after people vote. I would think they'd say no, to prevent any appearance that you were trying to buy people's votes with stickers. Lord knows people sell them for less.

...ya damn hippie.
