(no subject)

As I see it, I have two choices:

1. Start going to bed before midnight. Like, at least a half hour before.
2. Start drinking coffee.

Ugh.

cranky.

I haven't been to be yet. So shut it.

I vote coffee. I'm a fan.
I think you can figure all that out though.

Welcome to the real world...

Should have taken that other colored pill. Ya know, the one that makes you see little bunny rabbits running around with pocket watches, and the cheshire cat...

I'll echo dov's statement of welcome to the real world.

and I'll throw in "sucka!" for good measure

I go to bed mad early AND drink coffee every morning. It's just the nature of the work-a-day world.

I know plenty of people who choose Pepsi instead of coffee though...if you don't like coffee, there are plenty of caffeinated alternatives...

And interestingly colored pills.

But in all seriousness

I just try to get ~7 hours of sleep a night, and I find that I don't need coffee/caffeine. I guess that is just due to my naturallly perky attitude ;) HAHAHAHA!

[identity profile] intangiblehugs.livejournal.com 2004-12-16 10:22 am (UTC)(link)
i love being a morning person.

life circumstances do make it hard to go to bed at a decent hour though, but that's my vote.

[identity profile] jdcohen.livejournal.com 2004-12-16 11:55 am (UTC)(link)
Goddamn you, Desh. Why couldn't you have been a night owl while we were still rooming together? Since when do you have problems waking up early?

[identity profile] peneli.livejournal.com 2004-12-16 02:10 pm (UTC)(link)
hahaha. It's a good (early) night when I get to bed at 1:15. But then, I think I've broken my natural clock this semester, so, not much I can say.

And I face the same dilemma in three weeks. Getting up at 6am five days a week = BLARGH! Why can't school just start at 10am like college?

CAFFINATE ME!

Coffee! Café! The liquid bliss that is dark dark and STRONG cooooffffeeee! So yeah, that's my vote.

ditto to everything you said, [livejournal.com profile] intangiblehugs. i'm sorry to be predictable, truly i am...

WELCOME TO EMPLOYMENT, FOO! IF YOU WERE IMAGINING A 12:30 WALK-IN TIME FOLLOWED BY A MASSAGE AND THEN GETTING PAID, THIS WAS PROBABLY A RUUUUUUUUUUDE AWAKENING.

OOPS MY CAPSLOCK IS STUCK. "OOPS"

i used to be the biggest caffeine addict ever, and now i survive much the same way, but now i manage with nearly no caffeine and about 5-7 hours of sleep at night.

you're right it can be done :) although i somewhat doubt it has to do with perkiness au natural

[identity profile] dredpiraterober.livejournal.com 2004-12-16 06:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Yea...It was kind of a joke. I am very much NOT a naturally perky person. And can we stop using that word now?

Yea, I know! Upsetting indeed! It will happen some day. Especially when Jeff moves to DC, I will visit, and things will happen. And I wanted you all to know something...I'm seriously thinking about getting a dog.

Coffee. Going to bed early never works. Even when you have to get up at 4 AM.

At least, not for me.

[identity profile] deled.livejournal.com 2004-12-20 05:34 am (UTC)(link)
last night: got on train at 9:15pm. went to sleep at 9:30; woke up at 5:00. got off train at 5:15am. anything is do-able.

there is a quote. (please note. i do not do drugs. just endorphins. caffeine rarely. coffee never. nicotine never never.) "you drink coffee!?! [stares] i'm more likely to drop acid than drink coffee. and since acid's been wiped... guess that means no coffee."

a hint: if you never do it, you will not become addicted. ...then, i always reconsider, just to check, every time anything comes up.
