Actually, I think initiating real campaign finance reform (and, thus, breaking the way people influence candidates) might actually save the system and contribute to the natural evolution of a multiparty government. Think about it: if you could no longer influence your preferred Republican/Democratic candidate through contributions or letter-writing campaigns, why not vote Libertarian/Green/DSA/Communist/Populist/Reform? Though, I don't see many Americans breaking with our Two Party tradition so easily, nor do I see any campaign finance reform bill in Congress including campaign funds for every "third" party under the sun. A bigger House might solve that problem, you're right. But America has a lot to overcome first.
