(no subject)

About once a week I order the same Chinese food dish from a place near where I work.

My goal in life is to place this order in 5 seconds. So far it's almost always 7 or 8, and I once did 6.

Multiple coworkers of mine now know about this and ask how it went each time.

that's awesome. someone on jezebel once posted about a game her family plays, when they order food at a restaurant they always try to state the entire order as clearly as possible so the wait staff doesn't have to ask any questions at all. that amused me to the extent that i now play the game too. :)

Do this for another year and order something totally different. It'll be fun to see the staff panic. I had a similar relationship with my local Korean Lunch Shack at University of Michigan. They called me Chicken Man because I always ordered their spicy chicken. One day I ordered bul go ki just for a change and the cooks got half way through spicy chicken before it sunk in that I had actually ordered something else.

How long does it take to say "The usual?"

On grubhub.com there's a butan for "click here to re-order the same thing you got last time"
