groups of friends originate because of a common bond maybe but that has nothing to do with how friends feel about one another.
For instance, you might say you have friends who all lived in Hill Freshman year, or who went to Penn freshman year etc. Where as I might say I have a group of friends who I meet freshman year.
Another example I have friends from high school. Granted none of those friends are younger but alot of them are older. I have a friends who are 4, 5, and 6 years older than I am. In the long run its not the group that matters at all but your relationship with individual people and whether or not you have fun with them as a group of people.
