It took all week, but I finally think I'm ready for Rosh Hashanah, and all the introspection and celebration it brings.

All my meals are figured out (family tonight, Adena & Marga tomorrow lunch, Marga and her friends the Fishman/Apples tomorrow dinner, and JulieK & fam Sunday lunch), and all the logistics are straightened out. I'm listening to the last 6 tracks of the Hadar CD, and really getting into it.

It's been a hell of a year, and in particular quite the up-and-down summer. The summer of '69. Here's to an even better 5770. Shanah tovah, all. Eid mubarak. And happy weekend.

My annual plea: In Judaism, this is the time of year for seeking and granting forgiveness. I'd like to ask all of you to forgive me for any way I have wronged you in the past year. Any blanket request for forgiveness is to some extent inadequate, and a mass communication blanketly requesting forgiveness is even more so. I'd like to invite any of you who feel I have wronged you this year to contact me directly (comment or email) and specifically. I'd like to talk about what I did so I can apologize more meaningfully and make sure I don't do the same again.
