Yay, leaving work before 5 on a Friday to get ready for Shabbat at home for the last time this season! Starting next week with DST, no more building up flex time all week every week to leave early on Friday. If I come in at 9, I can leave at 5...and enjoy over 2 more hours of daylight! Yay!! Yep, exactly. My "next week" comment was referring to the next Friday that was during DST.

I'm not crazy about DST-- I like waking up with sunlight, and I don't like being jetlagged while I adjust, and I like leaving work early on Friday. On the other hand, I like the daylight in the evenings, and I like leaving work on time (though I may be kinda rusty at that). Maybe I just don't like changes :)

Yeah, I go back and forth on it. I think it's silly how early in the year America starts DST and how late in the year we end it, given that there are people who are miserable leaving their home in the dark every morning...but that's not me; I never have to go that early. And I love being able to leave work at 5pm during the week, but I don't like not having a Saturday night motzei Shabbat, and I don't like how all the minyanim I'd go to on a Friday start at 7 (or earlier...I'm looking at you, TLS) even when Shabbat is starting at 8:30.

Apparently England is starting to consider DST in the winter and DOUBLE DST in the summer. Crazy!

I'd be more on board if I thought enough people are smart enough to turn off their lights/ not turn them on when it's light out.

But if England isn't on Greenwich Time anymore.....
