Happy Friday, LiveJournal! I totally bounced out of bed today, half-jogged to work, and got here over an hour earlier than my average. WTF? Maybe it has something to do with the fact that I'm going to an Indigo Girls / Shemekia Copeland concert over lunch with ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
below_the_belt. Or maybe it has something to do with the fact that I bailed on a Purim party last night and got to bed before 11. No idea. And to make it stranger, yesterday I was walking around with this black cloud over my head, passing it on to everyone I met. Yesterday was truly awful. I hate March. Ever-changing weather and ever-changing moods. Is it summer yet?
I'm also listening to Shemekia Copeland on my iPod right now. She's so amazing.
I was at JITW last weekend. I'm glad I went, even though it was 9 hours (round-trip) of driving. I fulfilled my goal, which was to not worry too much about meeting new people, but to spend some quality time with a half-dozen or so people I already know who I don't get to see that much. I did that, including a particularly nice re-connection with someone I hadn't seen in almost two years, and I did end up meeting a couple people. Mission accomplished!
Purim's on Monday night. I don't have a costume and I don't know where I'm going, but I want a change of pace from the past few years. Might drive to some shul in the suburbs where I don't know anyone and the focus is on cute kids.
Keep busy keep busy! That's how to not get depressed in March! There's a concert today, improv comedy with Saul and Rachel tomorrow night, Purim Monday....and nothing else untilalanscottevil comes to visit 2 weeks from today. I'll have to do something about that.
My mood's calmed down a bit in the hour-plus since I started this post. Oh well. We'll see how today goes. Happy Friday, LJ!
