About me

Last week I drank a whole milkshake. I rarely have milkshakes. I had a headache for about 24 hours afterwards. I'm usually reluctant to draw conclusions about this sort of stuff, because there are a million different factors that can influence our bodies, but I think there's a good chance that I'm at least mildly lactose intolerant.

I still don't have a purim costume.

I'm ready for spring to just fucking get here already. Today's the first day of typical highs in Philly as high as 50°F (that's 10°C for y'all Canadians), but temps have been so low that 50 feels like a treat. We're more likely to stay near 40 for a day than approach 60, or so it seems.

My mom's best friend is in the hospital right now for something acute and possibly serious. There's a good chance she'll be fine in a few weeks, but the fact that she might not be has me worried sick.

I bought an $80 comforter at IKEA yesterday, and then I think I left it at the checkout. I'll call today, but the odds that I'm out $80 seem pretty high.

I bought my mom an MP3 player from Woot as a present, but it took over 3 weeks to get delivered and then it was defective.

My surprisingly high electric bill my first month in this apartment was just trumped by the next one, $60 higher. My only solace is that I didn't install the new CFLs until over halfway into that month. And that I just bought a programmable thermostat that I can hopefully have installed soon.

Guess that's about all. Happy Tuesday!

most people I know who are lactarded have symptoms in the lower half of their bodies, not the upper. but who knows, I could be wrong. I haven't been to nursing school yet.

I still don't have a purim costume.

Neither do I. The theme is "sexy and Middle Eastern," and I don't really have either, nor can I afford anything new at the moment.

As for weather, you have it fairly warm compared to us and definitly without as much precipitation.

Maybe you just got severe brain freeze.

I agree with Jox, headache and nothing else? That just doesn't sound like lactose intolerance at all.

And Al Gore says there's global warming...

You've got webmd too!

the only connection I can think of between dairy and headaches would be if dairy triggers allergies, and you get a sinus headache. Possible?

I know some people, I believe my sister and leftyjew among them, who find that dairy aggravates other allergies. Not sure why.

some people (my mom for example) get headaches after eating a lot of sugar
