I did catch Les Yeux Noir for about half of their main stage set, and I did like it. It just wasn't enough to get a really good sense of them. The fact that you say they were so awesome at the dance tent, though, makes me wonder if they were like Wild Asparagus, who played Fest in 2004: Apparently one of the best contra dance bands of all time, and they were awesome to watch at the dance tent, but their main stage set was lacking. They need people to dance to them for it to really work.
I might want to borrow the CDs sometime, but I'm against copying entire albums without permission. Maybe send me a couple MP3s, and if I like them I'll buy something?
Thanks for the welcome to Food! I actually did like the coffee gig by the end. Waking up for breakfast shift was hard, but definitely doable. I might enjoy Trucks more, assuming I can be scheduled around Shabbat, so I'll have to think about that. I also might want to try out another committee. I have awhile to decide, since I can't volunteer next summer anyway.
