(no subject)

This Passover seems worse than most. Usually I just joke (beyond when it stops being funny, I admit) about how annoying the dietary restrictions are. But this time I'm genuinely sick of all this damn food, and the holiday's not even half over yet.

Predictable? Or do you mean... DEPENDABLE?!?

C'mon, Deshie... if you're going to sin, you have to go ALL THE WAY.

The whole "sin boldly" thing is more Lutheran...

How'd it go? "Baruch atah adonai eloheinu melech ha'olam, borei chazir, she'asani goy?"

:-D

I don't understand. I really don't. It's not like I've gone out to eat (which, granted, is possible here, but still I haven't done it) but I have plenty of food to eat and to choose from. As much as I do on a regular week. And I don't even eat meat.

Just don't always eat matza with butter and salt. Make Matza lasagna. Eggplant Parmesan. Fancy omelets. Brownies. Chicken. Mashed potatoes. Steak. Baked potatoes. Sweet carrots or yams. Quinoa. Any of a hundred kugels. Matza Brei. Chicken Soup. Onion soup. Matza balls. Grilled fish. Tuna salad. Egg salad. Fried Matza.

I have recipes for all of these if you need. There's plenty to choose from.

It's time for a big baked potato with broccoli and cheddar cheese. Or worse, with margarine and chilli con carne. Satisfying, wholesome, and not a matza in sight.

(Disclaimer: I'm not even kind of Jewish although I enjoy hanging out with Jewish people. My advice should be taken with a grain of salt, some common sense and a shot of vodka. Is vodka kosher for passover? I don't even know...)

I sympathize. Despite its being vastly easier since I quit being vegan, I'm not handling pesach well this year. Admittedly, there are obvious reasons, including "too busy to cook."
