BlogPulse is an awesome service that tracks word/phrase frequencies in blog posts across the internet over the past few months. Example: the most recent peak here is probably because of the LJ power outage, with deliberate misspellings; is the big one all unintentional misspellings? (thanks, languagelog)

All the recent talk about recounts reminded me...back in 2000, did any of you have the Bush/Gore Florida recount reporting script?

The funny thing is that just by working in science, you can have pretty high Erdos number. They used to say if you wanted to meet Erdos, just stay where you are, he'll find you. That blog pulse thing might be interesting here at the LDC.

So I decided to of course look up the word Election, as you may guess it's use steadily increased until Tuesday when it skyrocketed, stayed up for a day and then fell like a stone.
