Top 885, er, 26 artists of all time prediction
Right now, at 4:30 EDT on Sunday 10/22/2006, WXPN is on artist number 27 of their top 885 artists of all time countdown. I believe I've successfully figured out the 26 artists left on the countdown. Here they are, in no particular order (except that if I'm wrong on any of these, I bet it's one of the bottom few).
Most of you don't care anymore if you ever did, I know. This is mainly for my benefit, to see if I did it right.
EDIT: Crap, I screwed up. I had "Bob Seeger" here, when it's really spelled "Seger". Turned out he was already on the list. So who am I missing??
EDIT AGAIN: The Clash! Of course! I guessed them right before they came on at #24. If you don't believe me, then at least I guessed the top 23...

Sortof depressing that only one woman is on the list, though if i had to pick just one Joni would definitely be it. If it was a normal station i'd wager Madonna would have a right to squeak in somewhere and, personally, i'd also say that Janis and the Supremes are just as important as most of those bands.
I'm interested to see where Radiohead winds up - with Bonnaroo and a "just because" tour it seems like the folkier hipsters warmed up to them a lot this year.
I always do what you're doing for this poll with the Village Voice's Pazz & Jop alignment, but i never submit because i'm torn between submitting my actual choices or trying to get the highest score by predicting what others will choose.

Most years i don't consume enough new music to have a Top 10 that would make much impact on the scoring so i don't bother to submit, but i think i will this year. And, i definitely have four (possibly five) of the top ten figured out.
(in my experience it's one of the more reliable end of year countdowns - it skews a little hip, but good mainstream fare still makes a good showing)
